Tetons & Yellowstone 2015

I had a bomb summer. I spent a month in Wyoming with Randi and had too much fun. Growing up in Wyo, neither of us had ever been to Yellowstone and we decided that needed to change. We spent our last week in the Tetons/Yellowstone and it was so fun.

Favorite Quote: Laying in the tent ready for bed and it's raining outside. I realize we have a bunch of fruit snacks in our tent and should probably put them in the bear box. Me: I'm not going out there in the rain. Let the bears come. Rand: *throws them by the door* I'll just throw them by the door.  Me: Hahahahha yeah. Cause if a bear comes to attack he's gonna use the door. And he'll just take the fruit snacks and leave.

Happy 4th!

Post Float
I was in Vernal a few days before the 4th so Nae and I decided to go to Rock Springs/Green River and stay with her grandparents and celebrate the 4th there.  It was the best.  We floated the Green River, hiked the hill behind her grandparents house to go stargazing, had a BBQ, watched fireworks, and just hung out with good friends.  Buddy got bit by a rattlesnake on our way down the hill after stargazing and that was stressful but luckily there was a vet oncall in RS and he was able to treat Buddy and all turned out well. The 4th is my absolute favorite holiday and I'm happy that I got to spend it with some of my favorite people.

Vernal Adventures

Nae recently moved to Vernal to stay with her dad. I was so excited because for now we're only like 2.5 hours away. I went down and we had so much fun. We went to the lake one day and just had a blast jumping in and swimming around, cooling off from the hot sun. We played a lot of Mario Kart, Just Dance, and other Kinect Adventures. It was pretty great. We sat on the porch and star gazed a couple nights, had a big cousin sleepover on the floor of the t.v. room and watched Guardians of the Galaxy and lots of Supernatural. We went to the Gorge one day and had a blast boating. It was a little cold and cloudy but we still went tubing which is basically my most favorite thing in the world. Summer 2015 may just be the best one yet.

Lagoon 2015

My Aunt Jen and cousin McKinley invited me to go to Lagoon with them and I was so excited.  I absolutely love amusement parks and Lagoon just makes me feel like a kid. I went on every ride with Kinners and had just the best day with her. The one ride that always gets me is the Rocket- Reentry. It takes you so high and is so sketch. Pretty sure I almost squeezed her hand off. Haha. One thing I did for the first time was have one of those saloon girl photos taken. They get one every year so it was fun to be in it with her. I need to get my aunt to send me the rest of the pictures she took but here's our fun old one!

Payson Temple

I went to the Payson temple open house with my grandparents and it was so awesome. It was the first open house I had ever been to and I loved it.  The Payson temple is the prettiest temple I have ever been in and I can't wait till I get to do baptisms there. The baptistry walls are covered with a woodland mural with forest animals in the background and is the coolest baptistry I have ever seen. The Celestial room was also breathtaking and I can't wait for the day I am able to go there.

Can't forget me posing with Flat Stanley for one of my cousins back in Chicago. Hahaha

The Grand Canyon

I'm taking spring classes this year so after winter semester finals, we had a 3 day break before classes started again.  A few friends and I decided to take advantage and we took a trip to the Grand Canyon. It basically rained the whole time and even one night snowed...but it was still so fun.  The Grand Canyon was absolutely breathtaking and I'm still pretty sure it's a green screen. It's just too cool to be real.  One day we hiked down Bright Angel trail and it was so beautiful. One day I hope to hike from rim to rim which is like 24 miles or something close to that. That's the ultimate goal! It was also really cool to meet people from all over the world. I saw Chris Pratt's dopelganger although I'm not entirely positive that it wasn't Chris Pratt himself. Unfortunately he was going down when I was going up so I couldn't walk with him and find out the truth.
